Privacy Policy
Your training log is yours. Goaloop stores your data on your device, contains no third-party ads or analytics, never sells your data, and lets you export or permanently delete everything from inside the app.
1. Who we are
Goaloop is the data controller for personal data processed through the Goaloop iPhone app and this website. You can reach us any time at support@goaloop.it.
2. Information we collect
When you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name; if you use Apple's private email relay we never see your real address. Everything else is information you enter in the app — your display name, date of birth, height and weight, training goal and experience, workout plans, and the sets, reps and weights you log — and it is stored on your device. We also keep your Goaloop Pro subscription status so the app can unlock Pro features; Apple processes any payment and we never receive your card details. Goaloop does not run its own servers that collect this data.
3. Apple Health data
With your permission, Goaloop reads Apple Health data — such as workouts, body weight, steps, distance, active and resting energy, heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep and mindful minutes — to show your progress, and writes data you create in the app, such as completed workouts, mindful sessions and body measurements you enter. Health data is processed entirely on your device; it is never sent to us, never used for advertising, and never sold or shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
4. How we use your information
To provide the app's features — logging workouts, building plans, and showing your progress and muscle heatmap — to personalise your experience by greeting you by name and tailoring starter plans and reminders, to manage your Goaloop Pro subscription, and to respond to your support requests.
5. Legal bases
Where the EU GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app and your subscription), on the basis of your consent (Apple Health access and any optional tracking, which you can withdraw at any time), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the app working and improving it.
6. Tracking and analytics
App tracking is off unless you turn it on and grant the iOS permission. Goaloop contains no third-party advertising or analytics software and does not track you across other apps or websites. If you enable the iOS 'Share with App Developers' setting, Apple may share aggregated, anonymised crash and usage reports with us; you can turn this off in iOS Settings. You may optionally tell us how you heard about Goaloop, which is voluntary and used only to understand how people discover the app.
7. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Because your data stays on your device, we do not use third-party hosting. We rely on Apple as a provider for Sign in with Apple, Apple Health and In-App Purchase, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy.
8. Storage, security and retention
Your app data is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud device backup, a copy may be included under your own Apple account settings and secured by Apple. We rely on the security of iOS and Apple's frameworks, including on-device storage and Apple-managed sign-in and payments. Your data is kept until you remove it, and uninstalling the app deletes its on-device data.
9. Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, export, delete or object to the processing of your data. In the app: Profile → Export my data to download a copy, or Profile → Delete account to permanently remove every session, PR and streak. You can also email support@goaloop.it. If you are in the EU you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
10. Children
Goaloop is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll post material changes here and, where appropriate, in the app, and update the date above before they take effect.
